Reception

Reception

Our professional relationship with the client begins at our reception.

We are open to the public Monday to Friday from 9.30 to 14.00 and from 15.00 to 21.00.

The Students' Club

On the ground floor and with access to the garden, there is a pleasant and relaxing area for students and teachers.

It is an ideal place to socialize with other students and to make new friends...

It's our students' club...

The school

IH TerrassaOur school was founded in 1971 and affiliated to the International House World Organisation in 1977.

The building is situated in the commercial and historic centre of town, just off the main Rambla in Calle La Rasa. The house occupying three-storeys was designed by the architect Lluis Muncunill.

The entire building is air-conditioned and since 2010 all the classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards.

The school also has a student café, study centre and patio area. The Students Club is an area where students and teachers can meet outside class.

English, German, French and Spanish are offered throughout the academic year. The school offers a wide range of General Courses as well as Preparation Courses for international exams.

We are an authorised centre for Cambridge English examinations and organise the sittings for hundreds of candidates in the Vallès. As an alternative to group classes, there is the option of private classes, tailor-made to suit the linguistic needs of the individual student.

Off the school premises we offer both general and business English for companies.

InternetInternet/Study Room

Just off Reception is the spacious room housing computers for self-study.

Free access to Internet provides students with a source of current, authentic material to help them develop their language skills.

Also available to students are the interactive materials that make up the Net Languages courses, so that students can study any time of day.

Director of Studies

Valerie WestonValerie Weston is the Director of Studies. She is available from 10.30 to 12.30 and from 17.00 to 20.00, Monday to Friday.

All students who are new to the school have a short interview with the Director of Studies before being assigned the group that best meets their needs, both in terms of level and learning style.

The level test can be done at any time during office hours. The groups are made up according to age and following a strict system of levels (from Beginners to Advanced).

It is not necessary for new students wanting an interview with the Director of Studies for their level test to reserve in advance.

Parents or students wishing to talk to the Director of Studies are advised to make an appointment through Reception.
