Do you need an IELTS qualification to study in the United Kingdom or a TOEFL qualification to study in the United States?
The IELTS test has four parts: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Candidates must do all four parts to receive an IELTS score. The total time for the test is 2 hours 45 minutes.
IELTS has two test formats: Academic or General Training. The Listening and Speaking modules are the same for all candidates, but the Reading and Writing modules are different, depending on whether the candidate has chosen Academic or General English.
The Listening, Reading and Writing components must be completed on the same day. The Speaking test may take place on the same day or up to one week before or after the other parts.
The traditional Paper-Based Test (PBT) is being replaced by the Internet-Based Test (IBT).
As well as Listening, Reading and Writing sections, the IBT also has a Speaking component. The complete IBT TOEFL test takes approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. The IBT is more flexible than the traditional PBT in that there are many more dates when it can be sat. In addition, the results are made available 2 to 3 weeks after the test day.
The nearest center for the IBT is in Barcelona.
We offer private classes to prepare students for the IELTS or TOEFL examinations. An IELTS score is generally required to study in the United Kingdom and a TOEFL score for the United States.
The advantage with one-to-one or one-to-two classes is that they are adapted to your specific exam preparation requirements and there is greater flexibility with respect to the days and times of the class.
