Spanish Course programme
In 2010 IH Bogotá will be offering you a choice of the following four Spanish language courses:
Intensive Spanish courses
From January 2010, you will be able to take a 20-hour-a-week intensive Spanish course with us at any time of the year.
Courses are offered at all levels and students will be able to stay for as many weeks as they like.
If you already have some knowledge of Spanish, you can can start any Monday.
Starting dates for beginners are:
- 12* and 25 January
- 8 and 22 February
- 8 and 23* March
- 5 and 19 April
- 3, 18*, 31 May
- 15* and 28 June
- 12 and 26 July
- 9 and 23 August
- 6 and 20 September
- 4 and 19* October
- 2*, 16* and 29 November
Please note:
*The following Mondays are public holidays and classes these weeks will therefore start on the Tuesday:
January: 11, March: 22, May: 17, June: 7, 14, July: 5, August: 16, October: 18, November: 1, 15
** The week starting 29 March includes two public holidays. It therefore has a special 3-day week price.
The maximum number of students in your group will be 8.
One-to-one Spanish classes
The dates, times and linguistic focus of these private language classes can be scheduled to suit your own needs and preferences. We cater for all levels and you can start any Monday of the year (except public holidays).
You can either take one-to-one classes on their own, or in combination with another course.
Two-to-one classes are also possible, with one teacher per two students.
Intensive Spanish course +Voluntary Work
This option gives you our regular, 20 hours a week intensive Spanish course in the morning and volunteer work in the afternoons, with children, the elderly or internal refugees.
Minimum stay: 4 weeks
Closed group courses
We also organize courses for closed groups of students at any time of the year. The duration, intensity and linguistic focus of these courses can be tailor-made to the needs and preferences of your students.
Online Spanish courses
In collaboration with our partner company Net Languages, IH Bogotá also provides online Spanish courses which include a personalized tutorial service. All levels are available from beginners to upper intermediate.
An online course also makes a great way to continue with your Spanish after your trip to Colombia (or before you come, for that matter, to give yourself a head-start).
Summary of Course Prices 2010 (in $US)
- Intensive Spanish courses: 1- 4 weeks: $US 220 per week; 5 or more weeks: $US 200 per week; Special 3-day week: $US 145
- One-to-one classes: $US 30 per hour; Two-to-one classes: $US 35 per hour
- Intensive Spanish course +Voluntary Work
Price per week: US$220 - Closed group courses: prices vary according to specific requirements
- Online Spanish courses: Complete level (120 hours): $US 620; Half a level (60 hours): $US 345
