Our online Spanish courses come from NetLanguages

IH Barcelona is the birthplace of Net Languages - one of the world's leading virtual language schools. The school opened its doors in May 1999 and currently offers a range of language courses including Spanish for adults (16 or over).

About the courses

Each online Spanish course (or level) consists of 120-150 hours of study materials and includes individual tutorials with qualified language instructors, most of whom are themselves IH teachers.

The interactive materials (which you can study online or download and study offline at home) allow you to improve all your language skills. You can practise your grammar as well as your reading, listening, writing and speaking.

Every module includes emails and voicemails to your personal tutor - who provides corrections and comments on your progress.

You can also chat to other students, post messages and use all the other resources of the virtual language school (the library, study centre, café, etc.).

A complete course gives you a password and user name which provides access to all the course materials at your chosen level and all the other resources of the school for 12 months. A half course gives you access to half the course materials and access to the language school for 6 months.

Note that there is no registration fee for our courses.

We also have a special pricing structure for large corporations and institutions that want to copy our courses onto their server(s) and thereby make the courses available to all the employees or members via their own internal Intranet. The Government of Catalonia, for example, has recently bought an adaptation of our English courses to put in all the high schools in the region.
